The Bloods did their summer haying and hunting in the rolling hills south of Levern. The fish-eater clan inhabited this area clear up to Fish Creek, which extended southwest from Levern. Today, there is still an abundance of rainbow trout in Fish Creek. One hard winter, a band of Bloods survived solely on fish. They became known as the fish eater band.
